I might have to race change for this.
Have you seen the new totems that troll shamans (Singular: shaman. Plural: shamans. Get it right, people! /shakesfist) will be rocking in 3.3? I love my fuzzy femtaur, but these are absolutely adorable!
To be honest, I've considered race-changing ever since the announcement that the fuctionality was coming Soon™ was made. It doesn't much matter when I'm resto and sitting comfortably at range, but on those occasions that I raid as enhancement, I find my Tauren's size awkward, at best, and at times even detrimental to my performance. (Yes, I have a big hit box. Shut up.)
As the largest thing in melee range next to the boss, Elam, and Keaton's over-large ursine posterior (read: big bear butt), Liluye tends to dwarf trash mobs — not to mention our Forsaken tank.
... Sorry Coffer. I didn't mean to step where your toes would be if you happened to have toes instead of those rotted little stubs. ;.;
Anyway, my melee positioning often feels clumsy and I have been told on more than one occasion to stop Elaming. (Elaming: DPSing from the front because you can't tell the difference when a mob actually fits inside your character model. >.< Note that this is largely inadvertant and not to be confused from Ouchiesing, which refers to DPSing from the front because you want your tank to get parried, or Malamoing, which is what happens when you inject copious amonts of sugar directly into your brain before a raid and bind Lightning Bolt to your push-to-talk key.)
I can also have a hard time seeing The Bad® as it rolls across the floor beneath our hooves. >.>
All these things together tempt me towards trolldom. The mohawk helps, too! ... and these cute little voodoo totems might just be the icing on the cake ...

I have the same problem on my Tauren shaman, and contemplate race change for the same reasons.
I keep a stack of Savory Deviate Delight on hand, and very frequently polymorph my shaman into Human form. It makes melee so much more pleasant.

This actually is a pretty awesome idea. As Ell just said, I have (on more than one occasion) hit trash from the front because I am bigger than the trash and can’t see past my own fat body. Generally, on any smaller-than-tauren sized model, I’ve become pretty good at looking to make sure the rest of our puny melee dps are around me for lengthy boss fights, but I tend to forget on trash. Deviate Delights might work!

Hehe, I kinda feel the opposite. I have always wanted the warrior to be a tauren, however since i adopted this account the race choice was never mine. I know the size thing might be slightly detrimental, but i don’t think that i can say no to a tauren wielding two 2-handed weapons.

I’m the opposite. When I’ve instanced on another melee class like my orc DK or troll shaman, I’m so used to Linedan’s massive plate-clad hitbox, it throws me off. And don’t even ask me to tank if I’ve been hit with Savory Deviate Delight and turned into a human. You wouldn’t think it’d make that big a deal, but it totally screws my positioning up.
BTW, I knew there must be some cosmic reason that I’d picked my troll enhancement shaman back up and gotten him to 74 (and climbing). Those look pretty awesome.

Hey ya… uhmm the female troll model is roughly the same size as a Tauren female model. Maybe bigger. If you are thinking of changing race to get a smaller hit-box, I would say that would be a bad idea.
Eating Savoury deviate delight, baby spice, Gnomish world enlarger all work wonderfully for reducing hit-box size
But if you said you wanted to change your race to troll because Troll’s are sexy, yeah I could understand that XD

Hah! I didn’t know about this – I’ve been contemplating a shaman for a while, but just hadn’t… I have to say that I really love the flavor the troll totems give and I see one in my (semi) near future!
